Heritage Optical Lab manufactures custom prescription sunglass lenses for optical laboratories, eyewear retailers, distributors and eyewear brands. Each lens is produced to the submitted prescription and can be optimized using monocular PD, fitting height, frame shape and available position-of-wear data.
Our RX sunglass program covers single vision, progressive and selected specialty designs across clear-to-dark, solid tint, gradient tint, polarized and photochromic configurations. Material, index, curve and coating combinations are reviewed against the prescription and frame requirements before production.
For wraparound and high-base frames, freeform compensation can help manage the optical effects introduced by frame curvature and wearing position. Final feasibility is confirmed during technical order review.

Can you manufacture polarized prescription sunglass lenses?
Yes. Polarized RX options are available for selected designs, materials, indices and prescription ranges. Send the full prescription and frame requirements for confirmation.
Can sunglass lenses be made as progressive lenses?
Yes. We manufacture customized progressive sunglass lenses with tint, polarized or selected photochromic options, subject to compatibility and technical review.
What information is required for an RX sunglass order?
Please provide SPH, CYL, AXIS, ADD where applicable, monocular PD, fitting height and frame shape. For wrap or high-base frames, frame trace and position-of-wear parameters are strongly recommended.
Do you support wraparound and high-curve sunglass frames?
Selected prescriptions and frame curves can be supported with freeform compensation. Feasibility depends on prescription, base curve, frame geometry and lens material.
What tint colors and treatments are available?
Common options include grey, brown, solid and gradient tints, along with selected polarized and photochromic products. Coating options can include back-surface AR, hard coating and hydrophobic treatment.
